IHU Green Campus Commission continues its work. Within the scope of recycling activities at our university, the commission members came together on Tuesday, July 30 and held their second meeting. Agenda items such as reducing the use of paper and plastic and raising awareness throughout the school were discussed. In addition, a survey study on the work to be done was planned.
Ibn Haldun University has been supporting the project announced by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization with the slogan "For a greener, cleaner world, join the #ZeroWaste movement!". In this context, it is aimed to collect all wastes that arise or may arise within our University with the logic of zero loss and to recycle and reuse them after separation with appropriate separation methods.
With "Zero Waste" practices, which is a goal defined as a waste management philosophy that includes preventing waste, using resources more efficiently, preventing or minimizing waste generation by reviewing the causes of waste generation, and collecting waste separately at its source and ensuring its recovery in case of waste generation, the recycling awareness of our students and staff and their immediate surroundings is also increased.
